The Ministry of Transportation announced last week that it is revamping the process for those driver's over 80 who wish to renew their driver's licences. Beginning in April those drivers over the age of 80 won't need to complete a written knowledge test, and will instead take part in s more streamlined renewal process.

Based on the results of the test the MTO can then identify drivers who may need further assessment like a medical exam or practical road test.
