We are into prom season at the local high schools. Most proms are followed by after parties where the consumption of alcohol and drugs as become fairly common. Having three daughters myself, I am always concerned with the prospect of any impaired driving by teens.

Please take a moment to speak to your children before they head to their proms or after parties and find out what their action plans are. How are they getting from place to place? Who are the designated drivers? Do they have a backup plan in case the driver begins to drink?

Please consider

  1. Discussing the night's plans with your kids
  2. Give them emergency cab fare
  3. Make your driving services available to them to and from the prom or parties.
  4. Ensure that they can call you at ay time with a request for a ride home.
