Search Warrant Leads To Fergus Couple Arrest For Cannabis Production

Police Seize Plants, Processed Marihuana, Cash

Wellington County Arrests
(Fergus, ON.) - On February 3rd, 2010, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit, along with members of Ontario Provincial Police - Emergency Response Team and the Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence in the Town of Fergus. 
 
The investigation resulted in the seizure of marihuana plants, processed marihuana, grow equipment and currency. 
 
The seized controlled substances have an estimated street value of $15,000.00.
 
Charged with Production of Cannabis Marihuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking are Kevin ESAU (31yrs) and Heather O'DONNELL (21 yrs) of the Town of Fergus.
 
The accused persons have been released from custody and are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on March 1st, 2010 to answer to the charges.
