Dufflebag Theatre Company Brings Peter Pan To Life At The River RunThey'll Take You Away To Neverlandby Guelph Now Local NewsFeb 08, 2010
Guelph, ON, - River Run Centre proudly presents Peter Pan on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. as part of its TD Canada Trust Family Series. Dufflebag Theatre will bring J.M. Barrie’s classic story to life in this fun-filled and interactive production suitable for children ages 3 to 10 – and all those young at heart.
For this lively production of Peter Pan, the Dufflebag actors will take the audience to the enchanting world of Neverland, where fairies, mermaids and pirates roam, and children refuse to grow up. Full of wit and humour, Dufflebag Theatre’s original adaptation of the story engages audience members in the action, creating a spontaneous and energizing
theatre experience for everyone. This unpredictable and hilarious performance is a truly unique interactive theatrical experience where the dream of living a fairy tale actually does come true!
Formed in 1992, the “Nearly World Famous” DuffleBag Theatre has become one of the most celebrated companies at festivals and schools across the country. Today the troupe performs over 450 shows a year and has toured across Canada, the United States and Asia. When they first started, all their props and costumes for the show came out of a
duffle bag. Now with so many shows to choose from, they need more than a duffle bag to hold it all, but “Trunk Theatre” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
River Run Centre, Guelph’s magnificent performing arts centre set along the picturesque bank of the Speed River, is located at 35 Woolwich Street in the City’s downtown core near the site where Guelph was founded. Peter Pan is the final show in River Run Centre’s TD Canada Trust Family Series for 2009-2010.
Tickets for Peter Pan are on sale now through the River Run Centre box office. Adult ticket prices range from $17.50 - $19.50, and children’s tickets range from $14.50 - $16.50.
