The Council of the Corporation of the City of Guelph is inviting applications from citizen members interested in serving on the Guelph Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors.
Persons interested in serving on the Board may file an application with the City Clerk prior to 4:30 p.m. on March 11, 2010. Applications are available on the City’s website guelph.ca > quick link "Application for Boards, Committees & Commissions" or may be picked up at the ServiceGuelph Counter. The present policy of Council is that persons may not be appointed to a particular Board/Committee/Commission for more than eight (8) consecutive years. The City of Guelph is an equal opportunity volunteer recruiter.
Persons applying for appointment must be over 18 years of age and either a resident or the owner of property within the municipality.

Summary of duties:
Appointees to this board will advise the Sports Hall of Fame with recognizing and honouring the achievements of Guelph individuals and teams who have attained prominence and distinction in any fields of sport and those who have made a major contribution to the development and advancement of sports in Guelph.
