Police Looking For Couple Connected To Spitting Incident
Impatient Customer Spits On Grocery Store Clerk
On April 1st, 2020, at 6:45pm, a customer was waiting in the checkout line of a grocery store located near the intersection of Eramosa Road and Stevenson Street North in the City of Guelph. They became impatient with the wait and ultimately spit on an adult female clerk, striking her in the left arm and chest. The customer then left the store.
The Guelph Police Service is looking to speak with the people in the attached pictures in relation to the incident.

Impaired Driver Arrested After Mounting Curb
On April 2nd, 2020, just before 10:30pm, police observed a vehicle driving near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue East and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph mount a curb. Police initiated a traffic stop and began speaking with the adult male drive. Ultimately, he failed an Approved Screening Device roadside breath test and was arrested.
A 36 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Operation While Impaired
He will appear in court on June 9th.
Break In Investigation Leads To Arrest
On April 2nd, 2020, at 2:30am, an adult male entered a medical building located near the intersection of Dawson Road and Speedvale Avenue West in the City of Guelph. The male walked around and checked office doors before leaving.
At 3:45am, the male again entered the building, once again checked office doors and proceeded to pull a fire alarm. He then left.
On April 3rd, at 1:58am, police located the male and he was subsequently arrested.
A 46 year old Guelph male has been charged with:
- Break And Enter
- False Alarm Of Fire
He will appear in court on July 17th.
