SIU Invokes Mandate

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On May 27, 2021, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police received several 9-1-1 calls about a three-vehicle collision in the area of Kossuth Road and Chilligo Road in Cambridge.

Emergency Services, including members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Unit, responded to the collision scene.

The collision involved two members from the Guelph Police Service. The members were in two separate vehicles.

Two individuals were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Waterloo Regional Police notified the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and they have invoked their mandate.

As required by law, no further information can be provided by the Waterloo Regional Police Service at this time.
